“I love the complexity of biology. Everything is deeply connected, from tiny molecules to enormous ecosystems. I like recognizing these connections.”

Professional Experience

In high school, Gail worked as a museum interpreter for the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture’s exhibits on “Leonardo da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius” and “Dirt: The Secrets Of Soil.” She also worked as a science interpreter at Mobius Science Center.

As an undergraduate student, she helped found the Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity at the Claremont Colleges. She also conducted research into how seabirds off the coast of San Francisco change their behavior through the summer breeding season.

Gail will begin her teaching career at City Arts & Tech High School during the 2018–2019 school year.

Hobbies

Gail enjoys reading, soccer, and spending time outdoors.
