Professional Experience

During her undergraduate studies, Jamie worked as a teaching assistant for freshmen in the school’s leadership program. In this role, she planned lessons for a recitation of 10 students and helped write assessments. Additionally, Jamie lived in Uppsala, Sweden for six months as part of a study abroad exchange program. While there, she studied neuroscience and philosophy. Jamie also lived in Bocas del Toro, Panama for three months. As a research assistant with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, she studied the effects of ocean acidification and warming on the interactions between coral and bio-eroding sponges. Jamie began teaching full time at Longmont High School in the fall of 2015.

Hobbies

Jamie enjoys mountain bike racing, ski racing, hiking, traveling, baking, knitting and writing.
