Rachel Stindt

I chose teaching because I had teachers that helped me out and am doing my best to pay it forward. Additionally, I love the intellectual pursuit of communicating science in a way that does its’ wonder justice.”

Rachel’s Story

Teaching Discipline

Chemistry

Why Chemistry

“I chose science because I think the natural world is amazing and the scientific way of thinking is the best way of thinking (yes, I am biased). I chose chemistry because it’s the foundation to explain life and helps us understand the materials we work with on a daily basis. Also, we get to blow stuff up.”

Professional Experience

Rachel began teaching at Ripon High School during the 2018–2019 school year.

Volunteer Experience

Rachel coaches her community swim club, the same one she swam for as a child, and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.

Hobbies

Rachel enjoys listening to and talking about podcasts. She also loves road trips where she can camp and backpack along the route. Part of Rachel’s passion for travel is her desire to visit all 58 national parks.
